Overview
Opened in April 2010, the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) is the only museum in the world devoted to global musical instruments. MIM displays more than 6,800 instruments from over 200 countries and territories. The museum’s mission is to inspire and connect people worldwide by providing a unique source of learning and experience through the enjoyment of musical instruments.

1. Explore the Exhibits: The museum’s collection is displayed in Geographical Galleries, which focus on five major world regions. There’s also an Artist Gallery featuring instruments, costumes, and other items associated with famous musicians like Elvis Presley and John Lennon.
